Art Residency in Yogyakarta, Indonesia
From September the 6th until December the 2nd I will do an art residency in the Cemeti Art House in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, commissioned by Heden in The Hague.
The program is called 'Hot Wave'. For three months, three artists from three countries: Indonesia, the Netherlands and Australia are given the opportunity to concentrate on work, experiment and interact with other artists, professionals and the community. Since 1988, Cemeti Art House has been actively promoting and stimulating practices in the contemporary Indonesian art scene and art practices on a wider international platform.

At the exhibition On Time, In Place a publication appeared with a text by Lorenzo Benedetti, director of De Vleeshal and curator of the exhibition.
There is also a special edition of 100 available including four archival inkjet prints.

Moments of accuracy, A night without sunset and A day without sunrise,with includes a permanent marking of the Arctic Circle in De Kabinetten.

An exhibition about the centre of gravity of each country of the EU, the place representing the country in its purest form. (In cooperation with Henrik Jan Haarink)
Opening:
Friday April 8th 2011 from 17:00 until 18:45 hr
The exhibition will be opened by the Mayor of Putten, the town where the centre of gravity of The Netherlands is located.
The exhibition is from April 8th to April 29th, 2011 on display at the Atrium of the City Hall in The Hague in the Netherlands.
